Machine
& Memory.

Car culture was never just the machines — it was the people, the late nights, the first pull of a big turbo. As the golden era fades, we’re here to preserve it: through film, community, and craft. Build, drive, remember.

// The mission

Preserving the soul of automotive culture — before it fades for good.

01 — What it is

One brand, three ways in.

A documentary, a community, and a physical home — all in service of one thing: keeping the culture alive.

01

The Film

“The Lost Generation” — a documentary on car culture’s shift from grassroots tuning to the influencer era, told through the people who lived it.

02

The Community

A gathering place — Cars & Coffee, panels, club nights — where builders, veterans, and the curious keep the culture loud.

03

The Craft

A working space: coffee, a curated shop, a lift to wrench on, and the hands-on knowledge that’s slipping away.

// Why now
The golden era is fading. The stories are worth saving.
02 — Why it matters

A culture is slipping away — quietly.

Tuning moved from magazine pages to YouTube money. Project cars got rarer and pricier. Hybrids and EVs are rewriting what a car even is. A whole generation grew up with tablets in their hands, never learning to read a clunk, a hiss, or the smell of burnt oil like a second language.

Not everything has to be future-focused to matter. Preserving what’s disappearing can be just as powerful.

Machine & Memory documents the pioneers, builders, and dreamers who shaped this culture — and builds a place for the next generation to learn it, feel it, and carry it forward.

03 — The community

The people behind the machines.

Builders, drivers, and dreamers — the culture is the people first.

04 — Who’s behind it

A builder who became a filmmaker.

The rare overlap: deep shop credibility and high-end storytelling.

John Markadakis

Founder

Years in high-end performance shops. A decade-long project car featured in Super Street. Founder of the Affinis Motor Sports parts house — and now a professional filmmaker specializing in brand and keynote work. The technical knowledge, the industry access, and the production chops to tell these stories right.

05 — The opportunity

A first-mover brand in a booming nostalgia market.

A hybrid model — content, community, and commerce — with multiple revenue streams.
